In 2010, Kingsgrove High School will be celebrating its 50 year anniversary on the current site. The occasion will be marked by a celebration on the weekend of Saturday, 18th September, 2010.
At this stage, it is anticipated that the program will take the form of:
- a reception at the school, on the evening of Friday , 17th September;
- an “open-day” at the school, roughly 10am – 2pm on Saturday, 18th September, comprising:
- tours
- stalls and activities
- a formal celebration in the assembly hall; and
- an evening function, Saturday 18th September, at an off-site function centre within reasonable travelling distance of the school.
A steering committee has been established, comprising staff, students and parents, and the dates of these meetings will be published in advance, in case other community members would like to take part.
Some early thoughts and ideas have been included, and opportunity provided for interested community members to register their email contacts, for receipt of updates, together with offers of assistance or practical contributions to the event. We are looking for suggestions!
Please mark the 18th September, 2010, in your advance-diaries, and spread the word!
